Victor Labarthe d'Arnoux is a freelance set designer based between Berlin & Paris.
He studied philosophy in Paris and stage and costume design in Brussels and Lyon. He was a finalist in the second edition of the "European Directing Prize", which took place in 2017 at the Komische Oper Berlin, and took second place in the "Dutch Design Award", which took place the same year at the Nationale Opera & Ballett in Amsterdam. In addition to opera, he also works with electronic music festivals to develop installations that create immersive experiences for the audience, such as at the Milkshake Festival in Amsterdam in 2018. He regularly works as an assistant to internationally renowned stage and costume designers such as Michael Levine, Antony Macdonald and Annemarie Woods. He has worked at houses such as the Zurich Opera House, the Opéra national du Rhin, the Opéra de Lyon, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Theater an der Wien, the Opera in Oslo and the Nationale Opera & Ballett.
